The GME Well-Being Program aims at fostering the balance that trainees need to keep between their demanding professions and personal lives in order to sidestep burnout. Harbor-UCLA firmly believes that when he or she has support and is healthy, the physician can greatly positively benefit care outcomes for patients. 

Verifications and Credentialing Services

Fully in keeping with the spirit of thoroughness and responsibility, Harbor-UCLA provides specialized services directed toward training verification and malpractice attestation. Though training verification requests are not processed by the GME office, it assists individual departments/program directors in communication between outside organizations.

Key Credentialing Services Include: 

Residency and Fellowship Verification: Each training program deals with its own requests.

Internship (Transitional Year) Verification: Send requests to Alice Alves at AAlves@dhs.lacounty.gov.

Nurse Practitioner Verification: This is done through whcc@lundquist.org. 

Malpractice and Insurance Verification: Requests may be faxed to 310.222.5601 or emailed to HarborMSO@dhs.lacounty.gov. 

Processing time is 10 to 15 business days for any inquiries raised by the hospital to ensure accuracy and completeness.
